Conexus Mobile Alliance reaches trial phase of multi-profile SIM solution
28 November 2017
The Conexus Mobile Alliance members have been evaluating the feasibility of a multi-profile SIM solution. The solution, developed by NTT DOCOMO, INC. (DOCOMO) allows users to switch between profiles, including data such as contract information and telephone numbers. By inserting the SIM into a smartphone or tablet, customers can access the network of DOCOMO while in Japan as well as that of affiliated carriers in their respective service areas, without needing to insert different SIM cards. User trials will be conducted by DOCOMO with TrueMove H in Thailand and VNPT in Vietnam from December to next March, during which time corporate customers traveling between Japan and these countries will use the data services provided by the SIM. The Conexus Mobile Alliance, one of the largest alliances of mobile carriers in Asia, will continue to create and introduce innovative mobile solutions for customers moving across national borders. For further information regarding this solution, please visit the press release published by DOCOMO from the link below or contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
